Self-promotion on a budget

Paper company K.W.Doggett recently featured a story on my screenprinted Teneriffe line drawings on their blog. Submitting articles to blogs within your industry is an inexpensive way to promote your business and tap into a ready-made audience. If you’re able to write the story and take some decent photos yourself, then the only cost is your time.
A few other ways I promote my business are by:
• becoming involved in my local community
• connecting with like-minded individuals
• attending events
• entering awards
The biggest challenge is to understand why someone should hire you or buy your products, then getting out there and talking to the right people.
